Apo Whang-od, at 106 years old, has been carving tattoos symbolising strength, protection and beauty for almost a century, part of the Kalinga tradition in northern Philippines. The three dots she tattoos represent herself and her two granddaughters carrying on this indigenous tradition. Apo Whang-od’s answer to what is most important in life? “Do Good.”
